My name is Mariola Wood and I hope you will enjoy my photography. I specialize in what I love the most shooting family beach portraiture, children (photography) and weddings. It is a joy for me to see happy loving families and my job is to capture those special moments forever. Working with families and children can be so uplifting. Children are so carefree. Capturing family beach portraits for those on vacation is absolutely the best. Happy family enjoying each other’s company in a beautiful relaxed beach setting is so easy to shoot. Each moment I photograph is unique and unforgettable. I truly have passion for what I do and I know you will see it when I meet you for your session.

A business that began as a hobby and a dream.

How my photography passion started? Well I was born and grew up in Poland. I always had a love for photographing my whole family. It was my strongest hobby. However, when I grew up I pursued my career in different field. While in Poland, I received an AA degree in Secretarial Science and then I graduated from Baltic Higher School of Humanities with a degree in Public Administration. Next, I left for Denmark to work as an au pair and there I met my husband John who was in Air force and was station in England. While living in England I remember I always wanted to take a picture of a palm tree and sunset in the background. (I‘ve never seen a palm tree before so that was my dream). And the dream came true we moved here to beautiful Florida and amazing beach settings and palm trees. While still enjoying my photography hobby, I started working on my bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Finally, I graduated from University of West Florida in 2005 and got a job as Probation Officer Assistant. However, one day my husband announced that he got 1-year assignment to Iraq. I thought to keep me occupied I need to get busier. Then I got the idea that I can do something with my photography hobby and have a second job on the top of my full time in Probation Department. The season was great. I got many clients and many references. Finally, I fall in love with that job so much that now I just do it full time. It relaxes me and I do what I love the most. I am Shooting happy families and capturing the best memories of their lives! And that’s the best prize for me! Portraits sessions hold memories for many years. That is why it is very important so the pictures are exceptional, filled with a feeling, depict a climate of a given moment and stimulate memories. That is what I am striving for in my photography so my pictures are exceptional and last forever.

A picture captures a moment of our life forever. Photography is a combination of light that is depicting a drawing, imagination of the photographer, and that only one moment. In every place and every moment, you can have a picture taken that will charm you for years.
